Franck Bedrossian, The Spider as an Artist (2014) for amplified cello
Solo Konzert, Myriam García Fidalgo
In retrospect, I do consider this piece already as a pivotal experience in my writing, especially for string instruments. This is mainly because I was, at that time, willing to experiment and articulate new sound textures for the string instruments, and still maintain and develop the polyphonic dimension of the musical discourse, even though elaborated for a solo instrument.
This double aim had been in my mind for several years, and composing it gave me a beautiful occasion to discover and combine techniques that would possibly allow me to achieve this goal. As a cause or as a consequence, an invisible poem by Emily Dickinson, as transparent as a spiderweb can be, is present throughout the piece, written with the bow on the body of the instrument.

Love in m2
Spacial Meditation – Performance, Sara Novi
Three years ago I moved to Berlin after eight years in Graz. I lived all this time in the same flat, at Klosterwiesgasse n. 4. The last few times I came back to visit, my name was still on the doorbell. An empty space marked with my name to which I no longer have access.
Our life experiences are always tied to a space. Often they play a secondary role, they are simply in the background. But at other times they are the protagonists and the activators of emotions, memories, smells… With the passage of time, the details become blurred and the memories become simpler and simpler, leading to a reduction to “the essential”: this can be of great emotional value, or something totally banal. Three years after I left it behind, I invite you to my former home. “Love in m2” is an experimental exercise in spatial projection through imagination.

Latente
Performance, Martina De Dominicis, Magdalena Forster, Manuel Riegler
Latente is something that is not yet manifest , something that is there but is not seen yet. The inner body is viewed as a multitude of bodies in physical contact, while the eyes provide a tactile access to an array of yearning bodies and presences expressed in the encounter between the performers, who dance, sound and become together.
Delving into collective memories of touch and trying to grasp the nature of longing for something that has no name, the three performers spin a poetic thread across personal biographies, the ephemeral ghosts of these very rooms and medieval corporealities and cosmologies.
The medieval time is used as an analogy to a Present in which time seems to have stopped, with a Past that persists in different forms and with nostalgia for a Future that slowly disappears, becoming the insecure, perhaps dark place, that needs to be navigated with tactile knowledge and with the devotion to the latent.
